Request permanent deletion of your Cents account
You have the right to request permanent deletion of your Cents account and all associated data. Once your account is deleted, this action cannot be undone.
How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your account, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to support@cents-app.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Send the request from the email address associated with your Cents account
Verification Process
To protect your account security, we will verify your identity before processing the deletion request. This may include confirming account ownership through the registered email address or additional verification steps if necessary.
Processing Time
Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of receiving your verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account information (email address, user ID, profile data)
- All financial records and transaction history
- Uploaded documents (receipts, PDFs, bank statements)
- Saving goals and analytics data
- App preferences and settings
Data Retention Exceptions
Some data may be retained after account deletion in the following limited circumstances:
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to your identity
- Data required to be retained for legal, compliance, or regulatory reasons
- Backup copies may persist for a limited time before being permanently removed from our systems
